9/1/2026 - Hawthorne 5th Alarm Tire Shop Fire
Yesterday at ~7:30 the Hawthorne Fire Department responded to 136 Goffle Road for a commercial structure fire. On arrival crews had fire showing, the incident eventually escalated to a fourth alarm bringing companies from Bergen and Passaic County. Departments that responded included North Haledon, Prospect Park, Paterson, Fair Lawn, Paramus, Midland Park, Passaic County EMS Task Force and more. The fire displaced four residents, a cat, and sent six firefighters to the hospital with minor injuries.
