2026 Incidents

At ~17:53 the Montville and Towaco fire departments were dispatched to 38 Capstick Avenue in Montville for a residential structure fire, there were reports of people inside the house. A second alarm and third alarm were transmitted. Additionally a tanker task force was requested. Crews had issues accessing the house as it was on a large setback, also had issue as the closet hydrant was on a street one over to the east. Incoming units were advised to stage. By 18:24 all fire on the second floor was knocked and overhaul was started. By 18:34 three lines were in operation, a PAR had been conducted and all members were accounted for, although one member was treated for exhaustion. Primary and secondary searches were negative. By 18:53 hands were still working to open up. By 19:30 units were starting to clear the scene.
